As part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Act of 2021 the IRS and the United States Treasury Department began issuing a second round of Economic Impact Payments to eligible recipients beginning December 30, 2020.
The IRS has emphasized that there is no action required by eligible individuals to receive this second payment. Some people may receive their check via direct deposit or a printed check in the mail, and some may receive a pre-paid debit card. Anyone who received the first stimulus check via direct deposit should receive the second check the same way, however, there may be anomalies.
