TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS: The Mechanics Cooperative Bank Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team are pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher J. Lynch as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer.  The Bank is proud to add Mr. Lynch’s wealth of banking and business management experience to our growing team.

President and CEO of Mechanics Cooperative Bank, Joseph T. Baptista Jr. commented “Chris’s experience in banking, management and business development will add immediate value to our growing commercial lending team. Mr. Lynch began his banking career working for Citizen’s Bank in the early 2000’s as an Assistant Vice President and Business Banking Officer before being promoted to Vice President, Client Advisor for Citizen’s Financial Group in 2003.

In 2005 Mr. Lynch took a position with Rockland Trust, as Vice President of Business Banking where he was hired to increase revenue production from a historically underperforming territory by obtaining and converting new opportunities and targeting larger relationships.

In 2008 Mr. Lynch changed industries and began his role as the Director of Sales and Operations for ZING Products where he created a strategic vision and managed all phases of production for this small manufacturer and marketer of recreational, marine, and industrial products. Chris also initiated an incentive-based compensation plan and introduced new marketing and online sales strategies through his 10 year+ career in executive leadership.

Chris then began working for Brown and Brown out of Dedham, MA as a Benefits Consultant in 2019. He was responsible for sourcing, coordinating, and conducting new client relationships.

Mr. Lynch has also been self-employed since 2019 and 2021 respectively working as a Sales Consultant for Go Fixx It in Lincoln, RI and Salem General Trading Co, LTD.

In his new role at Mechanics Cooperative Bank, Chris will take an active role in sourcing, reviewing, and facilitating new business & real estate relationships on behalf of the bank.

Mr. Lynch is currently a resident of North Falmouth and a graduate of Bentley University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.  He has his MA Insurance Licensed for Life, Health & Accident in addition to being a licensed MA Real Estate Agent.
