TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS: The Mechanics Cooperative Bank Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team are pleased to announce the appointment of Donna M. Caetano as Vice President, Controller. The Bank is proud to add Caetano’s wealth of banking and accounting experience to our growing team.

Caetano began her banking career in 1996 as a Loan Administrator working for BankBoston before being hired as a Staff Accountant at The Robert Allen Group in Mansfield, MA in 2000.
Caetano then took an opportunity to get back into the banking industry working for Dean Bank as an Accounting Manager in 2002 where she supervised accounting staff, managed accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and the recording of transactional accounting.
In 2005 Caetano then began working for Bank Rhode Island as a Senior Analyst and Assistant Vice President. She was responsible preparing 10-Q and 10-K reports, regulatory and shareholder financial reports, research and analysis on new and revised accounting standards and cross training staff to optimize efficiencies.
She then took a position working for Blue Hills Bank in Norwood, MA in 2011 as Assistant Controller, Assistant Vice President where she managed all aspects of general ledger activity and transactional accounting and reporting. In addition, Caetano prepared monthly, quarterly, and year-end performance, loan, and deposit reports, as well as cash management activity, investment reporting and a system conversion to a publicly traded company.
In 2019 Donna moved to HarborOne Bank in a similar role as Assistant Controller, Assistant Vice President where she remained until joining the Mechanics Cooperative Bank Accounting Team in 2021.
Caetano is a graduate of Providence College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. She is currently a resident of Attleboro, MA where she lives with her husband and son.
