TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS: The Mechanics Cooperative Bank Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team are pleased to announce the appointment of Sandra Cordoniz to Branch Manager of their Westport location. The Bank is proud to add Ms. Cordoniz’s wealth of experience, and customer service knowledge to their Branch Management Team.

Ms. Cordoniz began her banking career in 2001 as a teller with Compass Bank until 2003 when she began working as a Branch Operations Manager with Sovereign Bank in New Bedford, MA. Cordoniz was then promoted to a Personal Banker II in 2014 where she was responsible for assessing customer needs, ensuring sales and expectation goals were met, providing excellent customer service, accepting loan applications and completing personal and home loan closings while maintain sound branch operations.
Her success was recognized again 2017 when she was promoted to Relationship Banker for Santander Bank. In her new role she was responsible for the administration of sales, service, operational efficiency, risk applications, internal control and HR management activities to meet the bank objectives for the branch. Ms. Cordoniz also maintained strong relationships with bank partners and developed and deepened relationships with Retail and Business customers. Sandra was then promoted to Branch Manager in January of 2019 before joining Mechanics Cooperative Bank.
Sandra is also fully licensed to support MA Producer’s Life Insurance, Series 6 Securities, Series 63, and MA Producer’s Health Insurance. She lives in Dartmouth, MA and is fluent in Portuguese.
