TAUNTON, MA: Mechanics Cooperative Bank is happy to announce that Nicholas DeSena has joined the Bank as the new Branch Manager of their Westport office. DeSena will be responsible for the overall operations, performance and customer service of the branch, as well as community outreach activities. DeSena brings over 15 years of banking experience to the role.
DeSena began his financial career in 2004 as Personal Banker for Citizens Bank in Easton, MA. Nicholas was promoted in 2007 to Assistant Branch Manager of Citizens Bank in Fall River, MA where he was awarded top Assistant Branch Manager of Bristol County for 2008-2011. Nicholas continued to excel within the organization and transitioned to Branch Manager of the New Bedford, MA location in 2009 where he was responsible for managing sales of products, daily operations, and customer service. Nicholas was again promoted in 2012 and 2014 which brought him to manage the Dartmouth, MA and Raynham, MA Citizens Bank locations. Most recently before joining the Mechanics team, Nicholas held the position of Assistant Vice President, Officer for Citizens Bank, in New Bedford, MA.

DeSena is a 2003 graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI where he obtained an Associate’s degree in Accounting. He currently resides in Taunton, MA.
