Richard Falzone joins Mechanics Cooperative Bank with several years of banking and management experience. Richard began his career working for Travelers Property and Casualty in Hartford, CT as an auditor before moving into the health club industry in July of 2002. He spent 6 years in various roles such as General Manager, Sales and Operations Manager. Richard was responsible for all daily operations including employment, sales, retention and vendor management.
In 2008 he got his start in banking and he was hired by Sovereign Bank in Whitman, MA as their dedicated Small Business Specialist. In this position Richard was responsible for developing and maintaining assigned portfolio customers and sales and service of businesses with lending needs up to $500,000. He helped identify and provided appropriate financial solutions through effective cross-selling techniques and produced total financial integrated solutions for his customers.
Richard was then presented with the opportunity to join Citizens Bank as Assistant Vice President, Business Banking Officer. He was required to plan and execute sales strategies to develop new business relationships in addition to maintaining an existing business portfolio of 100+ customers. Richard generated new business utilizing a consultative sales approach and developed bank recognized partnerships with Merchant Service, Payroll and Cash Management representatives. It was this work that led to Richard being awarded and recognized for his contribution the record setting goal of $87.7 million in booked commercial loans in one months’ time.
Mr. Falzone then took advantage of an opportunity in July, 2015 at Santander Bank to be an Assistant Vice President, Small Business Relationship Manager. Richard worked with prospects while being responsible for maintaining and growing a portfolio of existing business customers. In his time at Santander Mr. Falzone consistently exceeded revenue goals and was the number one sales rep. in a three state region in loan applications.
Mr. Falzone is a graduate of Nichols College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Richard currently lives in Lakeville with his wife and 2 children.
